Anatomy of Breath Workshop
You know it, you love it, in fact you’re doing it right now. But how well do you really understand what is happening when you breathe?
One of the most refreshing things about breathing is we don’t have to know all its intricacies in order to be the beneficiary of its process, to practice it mindfully, and to utilize it during yoga and other movement modalities. But also, we can be curious, explore deeply, and benefit from an academic understanding of its inner workings.
In this deep dive we’ll take a closer look at some of the anatomy of the breath including the ribcage, diaphragm, hips, pelvic floor, neck, and even tongue posture. We’ll also experiment with positional breathing exercises in order to experience and embody the principles.
This information is highly recommended for aspiring yoga teachers, current yoga teachers, movement and wellness professionals, and the inquisitive.
What do you think, would you like to take a breath (workshop 😉)?
Align: Throat Chakra
Join Allie each month for a class learning about one specific chakra and how to integrate ancient energetic balancing techniques with your everyday asana practice and strengthen your spiritual mind-body connection. Each chakra is believed to be associated with a pranayama (breath), mantra (seed sound), mudra (sacred gesture), and asana (posture) that work to bring the chakra into balance. We’ll put these techniques into practice together so bring a journal and pen, be ready to flow, and maybe even wear the chakra color!
This session's chakra focus: Vishuddha, the throat chakra (the color is deep blue). Find your voice and individual expression through movement, chanting, breath work and journaling!

Offerings:
Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series, Saturday, February 21, 10:30-12pm + Sunday, February 22, 11-12:30pm
The Ashtanga Primary Series, also called "Yoga Chikitsa" (Yoga Therapy), is the foundational, sequential series of postures in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, designed to build internal heat, purify the body, increase strength, flexibility, and stamina, and calm the mind through a flowing, breath-synchronized (Ujjayi) practice connecting movements (vinyasas) with gaze (drishti) and energy locks (bandhas). It starts with Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskara A & B) and moves through standing, seated, and finishing poses, creating a detoxifying, meditative, and physically challenging routine.
This offering is class pass eligible.
Pranayama + Chanting, Saturday, February 21, 1-1:45pm
Join Ashtanga Yoga teacher Ross Stambaugh for a non-dogmatic, all levels appropriate mini session of pranayama techniques + traditional Sanskrit chanting. Not sure what this is? New to it all? No problem! No experience required. Pranayama is a yogic practice of breath control, combining the Sanskrit words prana (life force/energy) and yama (control/extension) to regulate the breath for physical and mental well-being, acting as a key limb in yoga and a preparatory step for meditation. It involves specific breathing patterns like inhalation, exhalation, and retention, aiming to calm the mind, reduce stress, improve focus, and boost vitality by influencing the nervous system and energy flow.
Hidden Handstands of The Sun Salutations, Saturday, February 21, 2-4pm
Find a new perspective! This workshop is for handstand lovers or those that wish to develop a handstand practice as a part of their yoga regimen. Ross will guide you through a mix of drills and skills as the main focus. To participate students should feel comfortable completing sun salutations, feel stable in upper body weight bearing, and should be practicing on a regular basis.
Yogis Helping Yogis, Saturday, February 21, 4:30-6:30pm
This workshop is for yoga teachers or for students who aim to start teaching. This workshop will cover how to manage a room with students of various skill levels, understand proper etiquette, how and when to use props, hands-on assists, and the complexities of running an asana class.
Pranayama - Breath of Yoga, Sunday, February 22, 1-3pm
Are you ready to bridge the gap between asana and starting an independent pranayama (yogic breathing) practice? Theory will be discussed, followed by the 6 traditional pranayama techniques, chanting, anatomical alignment, and more.

Yin Training
Slow down, soften, and go deeper.
This Yin Yoga Teacher Training is a transformative journey into the quiet power of stillness and introspection. Rooted in the ancient Taoist principles of balance and flow, Yin Yoga emphasizes long-held, passive postures that target the deep connective tissues, fascia, and energetic pathways of the body. Unlike more dynamic styles of yoga, Yin invites you to slow down, tune in, and explore the subtleties of the inner landscape.
Over the course of this immersive training, you’ll learn:
The foundational philosophy and principles of Yin Yoga
Functional anatomy and fascia theory with a focus on joint mobility
The energetic body: meridian theory, chakras, and the subtle body
Intelligent sequencing and safe guidance of Yin postures
The art of holding space: voice, presence, and mindful cueing
Practical tools for cultivating stillness, mindfulness, and emotional release
Whether you’re a yoga teacher looking to deepen your offerings or a dedicated practitioner seeking personal growth, this training will equip you with the tools to teach and practice Yin Yoga with clarity, compassion, and authenticity.
This is a 2-part course. Part 1 is February 28, part 2 is March 14. To complete Yin Yoga Teacher Certification both parts must be completed.
Investment for each date is $222. $444 for Part 1 + 2 combined. Membership discounts automatically apply.

Malas + Meditation: Make Your Own Mala Workshop
Have you ever seen a beautiful string of beads wrapped around your fellow yogis wrist or being used in their meditation? This sacred tool is called a mala. In this afternoon workshop with Speakeasy teacher, crystal specialist, and energy worker Megan Cannon of Moonmalas by Megan, you’ll get to choose from a selection of different crystals and materials to fabricate your own mala, learn about the healing properties of the crystals you choose, how to use them your mala for meditation, and more.
